Union Hill put their dominant defense on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Friday. They blew past the Savoy Cardinals 62-0. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Cardinals recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Ej Mowery produced another solid effort rushing for 31 yards and one touchdown, while also throwing for 71 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 80% of his passes. His passing game has become a key predictor of Union Hill's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise. Harlee Burns made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Union Hill didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Payton Dunn, Mowery, and Burns picked up one apiece. Union Hill received some extra help from Abel Montero, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Union Hill's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Savoy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Coming up, Union Hill will be playing in front of their home fans against Saint Jo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. Savoy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
