There's no place like home for Johnson, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  on Friday. They were the clear victors by  a  3-0 margin over the SA Roosevelt Rough Riders on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  3-0  back in September.
 One reason for the win was Johnson's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-19,  25-14.
 Kya FLores paced Johnson's offense, picking up seven kills. FLores got some help from  Sierra Seal and her 11 assists. Finally,  Shelby Aikens kept Johnson's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.
 Despite the  defeat, SA Roosevelt saw an underclassman step up: freshman  Sophia Avella  had 13 assists and 11  digs.  Aquiya Jefferson also deserves some recognition as  she  posted her first  assist of the season.
With the  victory, Johnson broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 16-20. As for SA Roosevelt, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost 14 of their last 16 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-26 record  this season.
 We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Johnson will  face off against  rival Madison  at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Meanwhile, SA Roosevelt is set to  challenge  their familiar foe LEE  at 7:15  p.m.  on Friday.
