Baseball Recap: Milford Central Comes Up Short

Milford Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 12-1 to the Schenevus Central Dragons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Dragons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-4 back in April.

Milford Central saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Damien Phillips, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

Milford Central now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Schenevus Central, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Milford Central will head out to take on Richfield Springs Central at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Schenevus Central, they will face off against Schoharie at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
