Bartlett hadn't done well against West Anchorage recently (they were 0-8 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Golden Bears had just enough and edged out the Eagles 1-0. The Golden Bears were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Eagles, so the Golden Bears were just returning the favor.

Bartlett's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for West Anchorage, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Bartlett wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Eagle River on the 23rd. Hopefully West Anchorage paid attention to the Golden Bears' matchup: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Golden Bears at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
