Volleyball Recap: Granby Falls to Norfolk Christian in First Game of Season

Granby kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against the Norfolk Christian Ambassadors, falling 3-0. The Comets haven't had much luck with the Ambassadors recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Granby was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-22, 25-12.

Norfolk Christian's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Granby will venture away from home to face off against Norcom at 4:00 p.m. on September 3. As for Norfolk Christian, they will head out to square off against Nansemond River at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
