Basketball Recap: Chrisshona Bargaineer Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Choctawhatchee

It's playoff time, and Pine Forest had no trouble coming through when it counted. They managed a 61-56 win over the Choctawhatchee Indians on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Indians back in January, they had to take a 40-34 defeat.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pine Forest to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chrisshona Bargaineer, who went 8 for 10 to rack up 20 points. The dominant performance gave Bargaineer a new career-high in points. Laila Snow was another key player, putting up 15 points and five assists.

The victory made it two in a row for Pine Forest and bumps their season record up to 10-13. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.5 points over those games. As for Choctawhatchee, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-12.

Coming up, Pine Forest will face off against Booker T. Washington on Saturday. Pine Forest has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Choctawhatchee does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
