Volleyball Game Preview: Granite Bay Grizzlies vs. Oak Ridge Trojans

Granite Bay hasn't had much luck against Oak Ridge recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Grizzlies are taking a road trip to challenge the Trojans at 6:30 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Granite Bay lost 3-0 to Del Oro on Monday.

While Granite Bay was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Del Oro's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-19, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Oak Ridge suffered their biggest defeat since October 14, 2024 on Monday. They came up short against Folsom, falling 3-0.

Oak Ridge was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-22, 25-12.

Granite Bay's loss dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Oak Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-5.

Granite Bay couldn't quite get it done against Oak Ridge when the teams last played back in September as they fell 3-1. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Trojans' Londyn Welcher, who had 21 digs and two aces.
