Mater Dei Catholic faced Bonita Vista in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Crusaders came out on top against the Barons by a score of 6-1. The win was familiar territory for the Crusaders, who have now won five matchups in a row.

Not much got past Arri Romero, who gave up just nine hits to keep Bonita Vista off the board. Romero has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Gianna 'Gigi' Flores was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Maya Matthies, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

Mater Dei Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 25-7. As for Bonita Vista, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 25-7 record.

As of now, neither Mater Dei Catholic nor the Barons have any future games scheduled.
