Flag Football Recap: Maria Scott's Menacing Defense Leads Xavier Prep over Cathedral City

While Xavier Prep put up some points on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Cathedral City. The Saints came out on top against the Lions by a score of 13-0. This was a revenge game for the Saints: when they faced off against the Lions back in September, they had to take a 18-0 loss.

Xavier Prep didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Maria Scott, Charlee Daft, Charlize Ramirez, and Elizabeth Pinedo picked up one apiece.

Xavier Prep has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-10 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 7.0 points on average over those games. As for Cathedral City, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.
