Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Menlo School). They blew past the Crystal Springs Uplands Gryphons, posting an 82-43 victory. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 297th, while the Gryphons are ranked 816th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Menlo School's win bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Crystal Springs Uplands, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Menlo School will welcome King's Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. King's Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 17 matches -- so hopefully Menlo School likes a good challenge. As for Crystal Springs Uplands, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Kehillah at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
