Tullahoma came tearing into Thursday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 9-5 victory over the Marshall County Tigers. The Wildcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.

Amaya Sharp spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on seven hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Madison Goad, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Addyson Norman, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Tullahoma was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .382. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .375 or higher in three consecutive games.

Tullahoma's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Marshall County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.

Coming up, Tullahoma will square off against Huntland at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Marshall County will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Giles County at 5:30 p.m. on March 31st.
