Basketball Recap: Scottsdale Christian Academy Makes It Three in a Row on the Road

While Scottsdale Christian Academy didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against the Leading Edge Academy - GEC Spartans by a score of 54-42 on Monday. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 58-30 win the Spartans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2019.

Several Spartans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Corynn Foster, who went 8 for 18 on her way to 20 points and six rebounds. Hayley Foster was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Scottsdale Christian Academy pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.3 points per game. As for Leading Edge Academy - GEC, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Scottsdale Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 51-20 loss against Arizona Lutheran Academy on the 11th. As for Leading Edge Academy - GEC, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 52-15 defeat against Fountain Hills on the 12th.
