Sumner is 6-0 against Bonney Lake since January of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Sumner Spartans will host the Bonney Lake Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Sumner knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Bonney Lake likes a good challenge.

On Friday, in a tight contest that could have gone either way, Sumner made off with a 62-61 victory over Graham-Kapowsin. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while the Eagles are ranked 262nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Bonney Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 46-31 bruising from Lynden. The match marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Sumner is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.7 points per game. As for Bonney Lake, they now have a losing record at 4-5.

Sumner took their win against Bonney Lake when the teams last played back in December of 2017 by a conclusive 72-49. Will Sumner repeat their success, or does Bonney Lake have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
