Basketball Game Preview: Hockinson Hawks vs. Hudson's Bay Eagles

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Hockinson Hawks challenge the Hudson's Bay Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday... Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Last Friday, Hockinson was beaten by R.A. Long 78-45. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 249th, while the Lumberjacks are ranked 39th).

Meanwhile, Hudson's Bay was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 23rd straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by Mark Morris and fell 88-56.

Hockinson's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Hudson's Bay, their loss dropped their record down to 0-12.

Hockinson beat Hudson's Bay 65-55 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Will Hockinson repeat their success, or does Hudson's Bay have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
