Basketball Recap: Plattsburgh Piles Up the Points Against Ausable Valley

Plattsburgh waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the AuSable Valley Patriots 47-18. With the Hornets ahead 28-7 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Despite the defeat, AuSable Valley had strong showings from Dylan Bombard, who posted seven points along with six boards and three steals, and Deon Lawyer, who put up seven points.

Plattsburgh pushed their record up to 3-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.2 points per game. As for AuSable Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Plattsburgh didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 56-32 win against Northeastern Clinton on the 19th. As for AuSable Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 58-42 loss against Massena on the 14th.
