Volleyball Game Preview: Mineral Ridge Rams vs. Memorial Red Devils

Mineral Ridge has won six straight games at home, while Memorial has won six straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Thursday. The Rams will host the Red Devils at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Mineral Ridge and Springfield had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Rams walked away with a 3-1 win over the Tigers on Tuesday.

Mineral Ridge had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-15, 25-20, 25-10.

Meanwhile, Memorial made easy work of Jackson-Milton on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

Memorial never let Jackson-Milton on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-17, 25-22.

Mineral Ridge's win bumped their record up to 14-3. As for Memorial, their victory bumped their record up to 17-1.
