Basketball Game Preview: Davenport North Wildcats vs. Davenport Central Blue Devils

The Davenport North Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Davenport Central Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Davenport North comes in on four and Davenport Central on eight.

Last Friday, Davenport North strolled past Central DeWitt with points to spare, taking the game 62-48.

Meanwhile, Davenport Central hadn't done well against Pleasant Valley recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Davenport Central secured a 70-66 W over Pleasant Valley. That's two games straight that the Blue Devils have won by exactly four points.

Davenport Central's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-2. As for Davenport North, they have also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

Davenport North was able to grind out a solid victory over Davenport Central in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, winning 74-64. The rematch might be a little tougher for Davenport North since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
