Softball Recap: Perry Comes Up Short

Perry couldn't beat Lima Central Catholic on Thursday even though they stacked five runs on them in the fourth inning. The Commodores came up short against the Thunderbirds, falling 19-6. The Commodores have struggled against the Thunderbirds recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Sariah Robinson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Madelyn Bodine, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Perry's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Lima Central Catholic, the win snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 3-10 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Perry will square off against Crestview at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lima Central Catholic, they will head out to take on Coldwater at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
