Softball Recap: Heritage Christian Comes Up Short

Heritage Christian fell victim to Whittier Christian and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Heralds, falling 9-0. The game marked the first time this year in which the Warriors were not able to get on the board.

Heritage Christian's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-4. As for Whittier Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.

Heritage Christian will welcome Golden Valley at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Warriors are facing the Grizzlies at the right time seeing as the Grizzlies are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Whittier Christian, they will head out to face off against Downey at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. The Heralds' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season.
