Basketball Recap: Winder-Barrow Comes Up Short

On Saturday, the Winder-Barrow Bulldoggs didn't have quite enough to beat the Social Circle Redskins and fell 37-34.

It was another big night for Jada Hyman, who went 9 of 16 en route to 24 points along with eight steals and six boards for Social Circle. That makes it 12 consecutive games in which Hyman has scored at least a third of Social Circle's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brielle Price, who posted seven points.

Winder-Barrow dropped their record down to 6-9 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Social Circle, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Winder-Barrow will square off against Jackson County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Social Circle, they will challenge Brookwood at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
