Softball Recap: Caldwell Comes Up Short

Caldwell came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Skyview Hawks, falling 12-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Hawks: they've now lost eight in a row.

Caldwell saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Payton Garcia, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Caldwell's loss dropped their record down to 10-16. As for Skyview, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-14 record this season.

Caldwell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Skyview, they have already played their next game, a 6-5 win against Nampa on the 8th.
