North Carolina State secured its first Class of 2019 pledge Tuesday, receiving a commitment from Jalen Lecque of Brewster Academy (Wolfeboro, N.H.).

Regarded as the No. 29 overall prospect in the senior class by 247Sports, the 6-foot-4 combo guard announced his decision via Twitter approximately one month after his Sept. 7 official visit to the school.
Lecque led Christ School (Arden, N.C.) to a 23-13 record last season, earning third-team MaxPreps Junior All-American honors.

Averaging 20.1 points, 9.3 assists and 9.1 rebounds per contest in 2017-18, the elite athlete has been labeled one of the most exciting players to watch in high school basketball.

Lecque elected to leave Christ School over the summer and head to prep school power Brewster Academy.

Kansas and Kentucky were also involved in Lecque's recruitment.
