Softball Recap: Salisbury Takes a Loss

If Salisbury was feeling good fresh off their 18-2 takedown of Thomasville last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hornets came up short against the West Davidson Dragons on Tuesday, falling 16-3. The Hornets' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Salisbury saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ashley Yang, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Salisbury's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for West Davidson, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Salisbury will face off against South Davidson at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for West Davidson, they will head out to square off against Thomasville at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18.07 runs per game on average), something the Dragons will no doubt try to take advantage of.
