Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Layton Bluth and Will Schneiderman Lead Casteel to Victory

There's no place like home for Casteel, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Shadow Ridge Stallions on Tuesday.

Casteel had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-18, 25-12, 25-8.

Leading Casteel to victory were Will Schneiderman and Layton Bluth. Schneiderman had 25 digs and four assists, while Bluth had 16 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Bluth has posted since back in April of 2024.

Casteel's victory bumped their record up to 20-10-1. As for Shadow Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 5-16.

Looking ahead, Casteel will look to defend their home court on Friday against Basha at 5:30 p.m. As for Shadow Ridge, they will challenge Perry at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
