Baseball Recap: Valley Lutheran Comes Up Short

Valley Lutheran lost against Anthem Prep back in April of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Flames lost 26-3 to the Eagles. The Flames have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Valley Lutheran saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Brown, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases.

Valley Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Anthem Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season.

Valley Lutheran will be playing in front of their home fans against Desert Heights Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Anthem Prep, they are taking a road trip to take on Chandler Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Titans will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
