Volleyball Game Preview: Pathway Christian Panthers vs. Quad Cities Christian Eagles

The Pathway Christian Panthers will venture away from home to challenge the Quad Cities Christian Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

It was a proper cat-fight when Pathway Christian took on Galesburg Christian on Friday. The Panthers blew past the Lions 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

While Pathway Christian might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Galesburg Christian scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-20, 25-21.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Quad Cities Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over DePue on Friday.

Quad Cities Christian not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept DePue between 16 and 18 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-16.

Pathway Christian's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Quad Cities Christian, their win bumped their record up to 14-11.

Pathway Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against Quad Cities Christian when the teams last played on Thursday, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
