Baseball Recap: Ukiah Wildcats vs. Newark Memorial Cougars        
        
		
            
 It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Ukiah had no problem doing just that  on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by  a  15-2 margin over the Newark Memorial Cougars. The result was nothing new for Ukiah, who have now won eight matches by six  runs or more  so far this season.
  Kessler Koch made a big impact no matter where he played. He  tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off   five  hits. Koch was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-3.
 In other batting news,  Trenton Ford was  incredible,  scoring four  runs and  stealing a base while going 3-for-3.  Takoda Newman was another key contributor,  scoring three  runs while going 2-for-2.
 On Newark Memorial's side, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Noah Hanohano, who  went 2-for-3 with two  doubles.
 Ukiah is  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record  this season. As for Newark Memorial, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost three of their last four games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 14-11 record  this season.
 Ukiah will be playing at home against Livermore at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Livermore will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more  runs each  matchup than the last. Newark Memorial does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
