Softball Recap: South Rowan Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for South Rowan, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They won by a run and slipped past the Cannon Cougars 4-3.

Remi Haggerty spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits.

On the hitting side, Cressley Patterson was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one triple. Leisha Carter was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

South Rowan now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Cannon, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

South Rowan didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 10-9 win against Central Cabarrus on the 11th. As for Cannon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 15-1 loss against South Caldwell on the 11th.
