Volleyball Recap: Kaylee Kovacovich and Sophia Lobehoefer Secure Win for St. Thomas More

St. Thomas More waltzed into their game on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Wauwatosa West Trojans. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cavaliers also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant St. Thomas More was: they took both sets by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-14.

St. Thomas More was led to victory by Sophia Lobehoefer and Kaylee Kovacovich. Lobehoefer had five digs and three aces, while Kovacovich had three digs and three aces. That's the most aces Kovacovich has posted since back in August.

They weren't the only good server: St. Thomas More was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. They are 9-1 when they serve at least ten aces.

St. Thomas More's record is now 12-8. As for Wauwatosa West, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-8.

St. Thomas More has already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Port Washington on the 20th. As for Wauwatosa West, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Germantown at 7:00 p.m.
