Football Recap: Kimball Piles Up the Points Against Roosevelt + How To Watch

Kimball won the last time they faced Roosevelt and things went their way on Friday too. The Knights blew past the Mustangs 42-6. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Knights' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 353rd, while the Mustangs are ranked 1059th).

Kimball's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Charles McCuin, who rushed for 120 yards and three TDs. Those three rushing touchdowns gave McCuin a new career-high. Kimball also got help from Javion Broussard, who showed off his sure hands for 193 receiving yards.

Kimball didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Demario Harris and Sean Robinson.

The win made it two in a row for Kimball and bumps their season record up to 3-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 22 points in those games. As for Roosevelt, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.

Looking ahead, after each having a week off, Kimball and Lincoln will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:15 p.m. on October 9. The Knights will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Roosevelt, they will take on Carter at 7:15 p.m. on October 9.
