5A District 6 Top Player Performances of the Week

Congratulations to this week's top players! We're covering the best performances in games played on Thursday and Friday (using all statistics entered as of the time of writing). Enjoy!

Rio Litmer Turns in Season-Best Effort

Highlands was led to victory by Rio Litmer, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Litmer threw for 217 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 passes, and also rushed for 78 yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an incredible 75 yards.

Litmer's next game is against Boone County on Friday, where he'll look to repeat that solid performance. The Bluebirds got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Rebels, probably because Litmer had a solid game then too: he threw for 87 yards and three touchdowns on perfect 5-for-5 passing, and also rushed for 34 yards. Can he match (or beat) that performance?
