Baseball Recap: Sterling Takes a Loss

Sterling was the 6-3 winner over Brush when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Tigers lost 8-1 to the Beetdiggers on Saturday. The matchup marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Sterling saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caysen Bamford, who went 1-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Sterling's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-2. As for Brush, their record now sits at 7-4.

Looking ahead, Sterling will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Eaton at 4:00 p.m. The Reds will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Brush, they are taking a road trip to face off against University at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
