Basketball Recap: Oak Hill Takes a Loss

Oak Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 47-43 heartbreaker at the hands of the Mountain Valley Falcons. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 47-43 on December 5th.

Oak Hill's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Mountain Valley, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Oak Hill and Waterville will face off at 11:30 a.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Oak Hill is facing Waterville at the right time seeing as Waterville is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Mountain Valley, they will finish 2024 at home by hosting Poland at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Mountain Valley has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
