Basketball Game Preview: High Point Academy Grizzlies vs. Atlantic Collegiate Academy Armada

The High Point Academy Grizzlies will take on the Atlantic Collegiate Academy Armada at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in High Point Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 26 contests.

High Point Academy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They took down Liberty 62-44. The Grizzlies haven't had any issues with the Red Devils recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

High Point Academy can attribute much of their success to Jaden McNeil, who went 6-for-7 en route to 16 points, and J'Sean Sanders, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten boards. The dominant performance also gave McNeil a new career-high in shooting accuracy (86%). Chris Copeland was another key player, putting up five points and six rebounds.

High Point Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Atlantic Collegiate Academy had already won 13 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.6 points) and they went ahead and made it 14 on Tuesday. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 45-40 W against the Volunteers. The 45-point effort marked the Armada's lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

High Point Academy's record is now 27-3. As for Atlantic Collegiate Academy, their record now sits at 23-3.
