Basketball Game Preview: Kiski Area Cavaliers vs. Hampton Talbots

Kiski Area is 2-8 against Hampton since February of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Cavaliers will be playing at home against the Talbots at 7:00 p.m. Kiski Area will be strutting in after a win while Hampton will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Kiski Area turned things around against Indiana on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 60-57 victory over the Little Indians. The win was all the more spectacular given the Cavaliers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 334th, while the Little Indians are ranked 133rd).

Meanwhile, Hampton entered their game against Penn Hills on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Talbots fell 54-45 to the Indians.

Hampton's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Kiski Area, their victory bumped their record up to 5-9.
