Softball Recap: Northwestern Takes a Loss

Northwestern was the 7-2 winner over Benjamin Logan when they last played one another on Monday, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Raiders on Wednesday.

Olivia Deane was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was her first of the season. Julia Shaw was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Northwestern's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Benjamin Logan, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northwestern will welcome Tecumseh at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Benjamin Logan, they will host Marion Harding at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Raiders are facing the Presidents at the right time seeing as the Presidents are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
