Baseball Recap: Coastal Christian Wins Going Away Against Liberty Christian Academy

Coastal Christian's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Liberty Christian Academy Heat with a sharp 17-5 victory. That looming 17-5 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Centurions yet this season.

Callan Barnette was incredible, going 3-for-5 with six RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those six RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason King, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3.

Coastal Christian will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Wilmington Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Liberty Christian Academy, they will challenge Wayne Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Heat's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season.
