Recap: Buna Cougars vs. Kirbyville Wildcats
There's no place like home for the Buna Cougars, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top against Kirbyville by a score of 32-25 on Friday. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Buna has scored all season.
Buna got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Reese Sherman out in front who scored seven points along with 12 rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaiden Epps, who scored four points along with eight rebounds and two blocks.
Buna's victory bumped their record up to 21-10. As for Kirbyville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-13.
Buna will be playing at home against Hardin at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kirbyville, they will head out on the road to challenge Anahuac at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Anahuac has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since January 2.
