Recap: Desert Christian Eagles vs. Duncan Wildkats
After a string of three wins, the Desert Christian Eagles's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. Their tough 39-19 defeat to Duncan might stick with them for a while. Desert Christian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Duncan apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February.
Despite the loss, Desert Christian still got an impressive performance from Anika Mulkey, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and four steals. Cait Lundgren was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five rebounds.
Desert Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Duncan, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Desert Christian will square off against Baboquivari at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Baboquivari will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. As for Duncan, they will head out on the road to face off against San Manuel at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. San Manuel is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
