Wilmington Christian Academy will be up against a hot Epiphany squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Falcons sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 44-41 victory over John Paul II Catholic on Thursday. Thomas Lathan had a dynamite game, shooting 65% from the field en route to 23 points and six boards. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Cole Furniss was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Meanwhile, Wilmington Christian Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 68-64 to Atlantic Shores Christian. The loss put an end to the Patriots' undefeated start to the season.

Davies has been hot recently, having posted 26 or more points the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan McConekey, who shot 67% from the field on his way to 13 points and six rebounds.

Having lost for the first time this season, Wilmington Christian Academy fell to 2-1. As for Epiphany, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.
