Softball Recap: Quitman Comes Up Short

Quitman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 18-3 to the Malakoff Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-0 back in March.

Quitman's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Malakoff, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6-1 record this season.

Quitman has already played their next game, a 10-0 defeat against Grand Saline on the 8th. As for Malakoff, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 4-3 win against Mineola on the 8th.
