Softball Recap: Glendale Has No Trouble Against Blacklick Valley

Glendale owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Thursday. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over Blacklick Valley. The win was some much needed relief for Glendale as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Madison Peterson was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 15 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and one run.

Peterson wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Lia Dick, who got on base in three of her six plate appearances with one triple. Hannah Simmers was another, going 1-for-4 with two runs and one double.

Glendale's victory bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Blacklick Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.

Glendale wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 12-1 win against Ferndale on the 29th. As for Blacklick Valley, they have also already played their next contest, an 18-3 victory against United on the 28th.
