Basketball Recap: Orestimba Takes a Loss

Orestimba played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Sonora Wildcats 67-35. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 915th, while the Wildcats are ranked 374th).

Sonora's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Enrico Andreatta, who went 5 of 6 en route to 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonathan Curran, who posted 11 points and seven rebounds.

This is the second loss in a row for Orestimba and nudges their season record down to 5-9. As for Sonora, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Orestimba will take on Ripon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sonora, they will square off against Hilmar at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Sonora is facing Hilmar at the right time seeing as Hilmar is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
