Softball Recap: Robinson Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Robinson's offense. They came up short against the West Springfield Spartans on Wednesday, falling 13-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-2 back in April.

This is the second loss in a row for Robinson and nudges their season record down to 7-9. As for West Springfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.

Robinson will square off against West Potomac at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Rams are facing the Wolverines at the right time seeing as the Wolverines are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for West Springfield, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-3 victory against Alexandria City on the 8th.
