After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Thomasville, Elberta was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They walked away with a 10-5 victory over the Blacksher Bulldogs. The high-scoring effort was just what Elberta needed considering they were shutout in their previous matchup.
Destiny Garcia was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits (she also didn't allow any walks). Garcia has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive pitching appearances. Garcia was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Gabriela Alanis, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, a triple, and a double. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Bowmar, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Miller knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with flashy run totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Blacksher likes a good challenge.
