Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is St. Francis' Seventh in Last Nine Outings

St. Francis had won three straight home games and Reynolds Escher did his part to make it four on Tuesday. The St. Francis Knights enjoyed a cozy 79-61 victory over the King's Ridge Christian Tigers thanks in part to Escher, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten rebounds. He has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last eight times he's played.

Greg Howard was another key player, going 5 of 12 en route to 11 points in addition to seven assists and seven boards. That's the most rebounds he has posted since back in November of 2023.

When it comes to explaining why King's Ridge Christian lost, don't look at Alex Lowry. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten boards. Another player making a difference was Zeplin Kidd, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 11 points and seven rebounds.

St. Francis has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. As for King's Ridge Christian, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-8 record.

St. Francis wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 74-56 win against Mount Pisgah Christian on the 29th. King's Ridge Christian has also already played their next contest, a 68-57 defeat against Paideia on the 30th.
