Softball Recap: Grant's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

It was a good run, but Grant unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Anacoco Indians by a score of 7-6.

Emma Futrell made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Daniels, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Even though they lost, Grant hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in five consecutive contests.

Grant's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Anacoco, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

While Grant had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
