Baseball Recap: Idabel Takes a Loss

While it was Idabel who put the first points on the board on Thursday, it was McAlester who put up more. The Idabel Warriors fell just short of the McAlester Buffaloes by a score of 12-10. While the Warriors didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Buffaloes 6-0 in the first period.

Brian Clay and Tyler Dillard did some serious damage despite the final result: Clay scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4, while Dillard scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-5.

Idabel's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for McAlester, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-7.

Looking ahead, Idabel will host Sallisaw at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. As for McAlester, they will head out on the road to face off against Will Rogers College at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
