Soccer Game Preview: Cedar Shoals vs. Eastside

The Cedar Shoals Jaguars will face off against the Eastside Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Cedar Shoals managed to slip by East Jackson the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Cedar Shoals came up short against East Jackson on Tuesday, falling 7-4. Zulma Valdivieso-Gutierrez probably wasn't too happy after the match: she scored every single goal for the Jaguars and still walked away on the losing team.

Meanwhile, after soaring to five goals the game before, Eastside was a bit more limited in their contest two weeks ago. They lost 10-0 to Oconee County. The loss was the Eagles' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Eastside fell to 2-1. As for Cedar Shoals, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.

Cedar Shoals beat Eastside by a goal in their previous matchup back in April of 2015, winning 4-3. Does Cedar Shoals have another victory up their sleeve, or will Eastside turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
