Volleyball Recap: Bell Eagles vs. Roosevelt Rough Riders
Bell suffered their biggest loss since August 28th on Monday. They came up short against the Roosevelt Rough Riders, falling 3-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Eagles haven't been shut out since back in August.
The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-14, 25-7.
Roosevelt found their leader in sophomore Denise Patino, who had 24 digs and five aces. Patino is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last six games she's played dating back to last season.
Bell has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for Roosevelt, they pushed their record up to 22-8 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.
We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Bell is set to challenge their familiar foe South East at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Roosevelt will square off against rival Huntington Park at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
